About KATOYA

KAYOYA is a repair studio founded by Mariko Kato.

After studying Ceramic Art in Japan, she worked at a textile business as a designer. Those experiences created a perfect background for specializing in the art of kintsugi; where both aesthetics and knowledge about material properties are combined in order to achieve pleasing results. 

KATOYA strives to be the leading kintsugi practitioner in Oslo.

Remember: don't throw away your broken ceramics, cups, lamps or plates! These can all be enhanced and upcycled by utilizing the art of KINTSUGI!
